Re: Topple v0.3.4 released

That's strange - does winboard log UCI communications with the chess engine? Could you perhaps try sending Topple some UCI commands manually? e.g. uci position startpos moves e2e4 e7e5 go movetime 1000 and see if there is reasonable output without crashes? Topple-legacy is compiled with the same op...

Re: Topple v0.3.4 released

So I tracked down several search bugs and improved Topple's search and evaluation for some hopefully significant strength increase. The release and binaries can be found here: https://github.com/konsolas/ToppleChess/releases/tag/v0.3.4 Self play shows a gain of around +80, but, as I found from my r...

Re: New engine releases

Winter 0.4a is released, change to 0.4 is cosmetic and they are identical in playing strength. Basically I fixed UCI output of selective depth and updated the version number. Perhaps more important is that I did not make a native Windows compile, instead it is cross compiled from my regular linux s...

Re: New engine releases

Quick update. I am able to reproduce the Winter crashes by creating indefinite numbers of concurrent instances and calling go infinite in each (so no GUI interaction needed and it isn't system dependent). I have ideas where to look and should be able to fix it. Most likely I will be able to fix it ...

Re: New engine releases

Hi Gabor, Sorry to have caused confusion, I messed up version control and I have got all versions mixed up. axolotl1.3 https://github.com/louism33/Axolotl With many thanks, Louis Hi, Axolotl 1.3 uses 2 cores of my PC, is there a way to restrict it to just 1 core? Also, only the ancient version of W...

Re: chess22k 1.12 released

Found a solution for me: the engine works using openjdk-11.0.1_windows-x64_bin.zip. I copied the files in the chess22k folder and used the new java.exe. I downloaded this version of Java. Chess22k 1.11 works, but version 1.12 does not, at least on my PC. I remember Jim Abblet compiled executables f...

Re: Ivanhoe plays singlecore in TCEC 13 !!

TCEC can fix this if they want, just correct Ivanhoe's settings and replay its games.
