Re: InterAjedrez/Visor

From the text appears that it can be used as a graphical interface for UCI engines, with support for databases, playing online and viewing games. Maybe later I will test it. On the meanwhile you could use a online translator if you are interested.

Re: There exist women working on chess engines?

Of course! How could I forgot Kathe Spracklen? On chess she is a great star. 8-)

Now I know two more chess women, thanks you. :)

The video link is great, now most TV programs about computers are too much hype and scandal.

There exist women working on chess engines?

This question came at my mind because I recently wrote an e-mail for a computer site, and I received a very kind reply of a women, surprisely first one related about computers. So what about chess? I did a slight research on Internet, but I found only general information about women's chess champion...

Re: Single legal move - what to do?

Option 2 is a lot better, as one or two possible movs will not make the search slower. And as said J. Wesley, in root you can start pondering inmediatly. This little trick should be on every chess programmer notebook.

Re: New release of Toledo Nanochess

The compiled executable is available inside Toledo Nanochess Pack, available from my page http://nanochess.110mb.com/chess3.html, look under the section 'Winboard Interface'.

Re: New release of Toledo Nanochess

I'm glad you like it. Sometimes, when it has the opportunity to castle, it moves the rook instead, I could give it more points to encourage castling, but sometimes also does the castle, so I think that it is right (maybe it has something in mind! )

New release of Toledo Nanochess

Hi everybody. I have released a new version of Toledo Nanochess, now is twice as fast 8-) (my estimations are better, but I used the lesser number). The Winboard interface has been enhanced, this time it supports the "level" and "time" commands, so it will do better use of time exploring further dep...

Ply depth mean

Hi, I have a little doubt about ply depth means. My current view of it is as 1-ply depth exploration means one legal move of the computer without checking opponent moves, 2-ply depth means one move of computer and one move of opponent, 3-ply depth one computer, one opponent, one computer. Also I'm r...

Re: Computer Chess and The Sarah Connor Chronicles a

I have seen the first season, very short and somewhat lacking explanations for some events, but is only entertainment, also the poor chess programmer don't get a nice end. :( But I had made a conclusion on it, if you write a chess program with 3000 ELO points, Sarah Connor will appear at your door. ...
