Re: Legal or Pseudo-Legal Move generation

Hi, I went with pseudo-legal move generator in Plisk. That is all moves are legal, except some of them might leave own king in check which obviously is not legal. For that I check, immediately upon move. Seemed to be pretty fast for me. Perft, with checking for legal moves, gives me about 8.5-9mil n...

Re: Plisk 025 released

Hi Matthias,

I have found the problem with the UCI hash size commands. I have fixed it now and it will be part of the next release. Meanwhile you can change the config.txt file for the desired results. Thank you for the bug report.

Regards,
Vlad.

Re: Plisk 025 released

Hi Matthias,

The reason I am asking is because if it is using 184Mb that is about right for the original settings in the config.txt file. Try changing that instead of passing the values via UCI (if that is what you were doing). I'll look into fixing this issue.

Regards,
Vlad.

Re: Plisk 025 released

Hi Matthias,

Do you tell it by changing the config.txt file or via the UCI commands?

Vlad.

Re: Plisk 025 released

Hi,

I've build a MacOSX 10.5 compatible version of Plisk. I have re-uploaded the MacOSX package.

Can you try it please and let me know if it works?

Regards,
Vlad.

Re: Plisk 025 released

Hi Max, Just tried to download the Mac version, but your OS X download link points to the windows version too. With little guessing for a reasonable filename (http://sites.google.com/site/pliskchess/Home/plisk_0.2.5_osx.zip?attredirects=0) I could fetch Plisk 0.25. Somebody else mentioned that too. ...

Re: Plisk 025 released

Hi all, I've made available Plisk 025n which is the version that played in WCRCC and shared 10th place with Arasan, Telepath and Jabba (while having won against both Jabba and Telepath). The only minor change from that is that Plisk will now show evaluations from white's point of view when playing ...

Re: Plisk 025 released

Hi Matthias, I was under the impression that always showing eval from white's pov is desirable and most engines do that. Plisk will now show that even when analyzing a position using UCI and Winboard. I can see the problems for testing though. Do most engines out there output eval from engine point ...
