That with Rajlich as Fritz author was a joke anyway. Either he couldn't reach more Elo from Rybka 4.1 anymore, or he didn't want to :P , or it wasn't Rajlich at all. 34. Kb3 Qg3+ is right (loss in 34), 34...Qh3+ is loss in 29 (35.Kb4 mate in 29)

35. Ka4 Nf7 is right (loss in 33), 35...Qh4+ is loss in 30 (36.Nd4+ mate in 30)

Syzygy does not show the shortest way to mate, just any win

I tried to look for the 10 longest DTM in descending order. The longest I could find was mate in 125. Does this look at all accurate to you. ? Mate in 125 ? It is a mate in 68 !! It was once reported here that syzygy-DTM is under development.

How far is this project? Or has it been given up?

Does anyone know more? Ronald de Man?
