so the syzygy line 16.Nb1 Qxb1# is a crap.

Online Syzygy is a mess. It's crap. Not the shortest way to mate. You're right.
No uci-file is created here either.
It is definitely due to the < > characters. What a mess. :shock:

Until version sting-sf-16 there was no such thing, and it worked fine.
