Re: CCRL 40/40, 40/4 and FRC lists updated (29th June 2019)

I tried to check the current standings of the Detroid 1.0.1 gauntlet through Livius but unfortunately, the client could not display the results table due to missing files on the server side. I did not have any issues checking the results of other gauntlets and tournaments. Do you have any idea what...

Re: CCRL Chess Engine Match Standards. How obsolete are they?

Sure, but accuracy has nothing to do with the world or anything. It has to do with math. More games = more accuracy. It is irrelevant that people don't understand why CCRL is a better measure than TCEC. TCEC is more fun and very popular sure, as are all famous tournaments. Not as many people look a...

Re: CCRL Chess Engine Match Standards. How obsolete are they?

so the real problem for you is that LC0 and NN behave so poorly? That tends to be the real motivation for those with an obsession with LC0. I have just ignored him since he couldn't get over people stating it is nonsense to use more threads in a ponder on match, as even hyperthreads are available (...

Re: strange behaviour of PyturoChamp on WinBoard AA beta /CuteChess

I will test it now with current Winboard and newest UCI2WB. Same setup in WB with Inbetween like above. (latest WB_AA and UCI2WB from 19-06-18) I thought though it has meanwhile implemented some time management, but it seems one has to adapt it manually via uci depth options. (need to check the src...

Re: Scid and Scid vs Mac: how to copy analysis output?

Yeah... this is tested more on linux, but this works on Mac , and should work on windows. Highlight the line/text and press command-c/control-c for copy. You can then select the Edit->PasteVariation feature to add the line. If running multiPV, Right clicking the V+ button adds the *second* PV as a ...

Re: Scid and Scid vs Mac: how to copy analysis output?

But this is only the last analysis line. How about the complete list? Tried this in Scid vs PC 4.18 (WIN) and it works here, but it needs manually selecting the whole output and carefully putting the cursor first before the first analysis line in the left. Simple Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C does not work, al...

Re: Test Position

It is no problem with Laser. The default option is 'empty' for the Syzygy path. Probably you have several CB programs installed and it gets the path from one of those, or you had it saved with your Laser config in the CB program you use. (e.g. in : C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\ChessBase\Engines.UCI...

Re: Test Position

BTW: Does anybody know, why tbs cannot be switched off for Laser at all? Did take out all the paths in Fritz- GUI to Syzygys, Nalimovs and Gaviotas, even the GUI's tbs -usage and -paths too, yet there are still tbs- hits in output. It is no problem with Laser. The default option is 'empty' ...
