Re: Compiling Winter for Windows

Back when I was compiling Winter on Windows I used a mingw gcc compiler and it was fairly straightforward, but I failed when trying to compile with clang. I don't know much about C++ on Windows, so I am sure someone else might be of more use. Longterm I would like to support cmake, but I have never...

Re: Dylan Sharp Vs. Harvey Williamson (G4)

Yeah, I agree with Guenther, someone should tell that born blabbermouth, whoever it is, to tone down the cluttering! For comparison, I only average 0.58 posts per day according to my profile  (if the joke isn't clear, I post less often than Guenther) You should learn how to use stats bette...

Re: Dylan Sharp Vs. Harvey Williamson (G4)

It's honestly fucking annoying (besides cluttering everything) when somebody constantly reports his eval, and egoizes that both players are following SF lines. Both players agreed to kibitzing in the first place. It's more annoying if a born blabbermouth clutters the whole forum with several dozens...

I'm doubtful SF often changes its mind beyond depth 45-50 or so.
And what? We have >65 depths here from Louis since the beginning.

Re: Tactics cannot be very important for chess

I did an experiment (perhaps flawed because I used this net:128x10-2019_1026_0142_45_230.pb) and LC0 is really terrible at tactics on a Nvidia TI-1080. The engine crashed once when I was analyzing, so I restarted at the point where analysis left off, and it did not crash a second time. I am re-runn...
