Re: Engines playing Musketeer Chess, good price

Oops, this is more than just graphics! Seems I was a bit over-enthousiastic when removing gateable pieces after capture of the piece in front of them. I uploaded the fixed version now. Looking great, no more unnecessary darkened squares, saved games can now be replayed and KingSlayer-Aramis 0.4 can...

6. Lost games analysis
All good, and I like that feature, showing the fen where it first made a suboptimal move.
Two things:
1. A single blunder that cost the game
2. An initial small mistake that leads to defeat

Re: Banksia GUI released

Clearly BSG of you both got crashes. However, I can't reproduce even I have tried on a few computers. On my very weak laptop, it becomes so laggy when I re-arrange windows (showing multi-playing games) but did not crash. - Did BSG crash when it is showing tournament's playing games (select Open & v...

Re: Banksia GUI released

Version 0.15 released * Fixed bugs: almost all known bugs so far.  The most important ones are (hopefully) the root bugs of crashing/exiting problems of BSG. Look like BSG now can run tournaments much more smoothly. Other bugs: couldn’t load some online PGN files, show some wrong stats for tourname...

Re: Endgame woes

So.. how do other engine authors stop their programs slipping into obviously drawn endgames? An example for my engine is KRB vs KR. This is often drawn (I think - anyhow my engine can't win it). The problem I have is that this endgame might be drawn or might be a win (e.g. if the opponent's rook is...

OK, I updated the WinBoard-AA package.
There seems to be an issue on graphics. There are situations where after a move (example here is Bxd3), square D2 is blackened.
This is on windows 10.

Cutechess GUI and CLI

There are good pull requests that are not yet merged in main repo. Make a fork and merged those interesting pull requests. If you are interested, the windows binaries for gui and cli are in https://github.com/fsmosca/cutechess/releases.
