Re: Ordo 1.0.9 (new features for testers)

1. I suggest the (%) sign for the Score field and the D% for Draw field should be changed to SCORE% and DRAW% for clarity and consistency. 2. The CFS(next) and OppErr columns are too wide. I suggest CFS% for the former and then shorten the widths of both columns. The entire 14 columnar output will ...

Two new features https://github.com/michiguel/Ordo/releases/tag/1.0.9.8 -i <file> include only games of participants present in <file> -x <file> names in <file> will not have their games included In certain situations, the user may want to include/discard in the calculation only a subset of the game...

Re: Ordo 1.0.9 (new features for testers)

regarding players with few games. It's a bit inconvenient, that you have to use the -g switch when some players are under-represented. It should be possible to specify the minimum number of games for a player to be rated, and after the program runs, Ordo could list those that were left out and how ...

Re: Ordo 1.0.9 (new features for testers)

I think name alias substitution is very useful in ordoprep. I use ordoprep very heavily in my Owl rating list which is where I extract subsets of engines for selective rating. At this moment I had a custom python script to make the hybrid rating list possible from inconsistent naming of engines whi...

Re: Ordo 1.0.9 (new features for testers)

13: OppN Number of opponents Which inspire me to add one that I think it is better than OppN 14: OppDiv Diversity of opponents. If the number of games is equally distributed, it is the same as OppN, but if most of the games come from one opponent, it will get closer to 1. This is the "Effective num...

Re: Ordo 1.0.9 (new features for testers).

Hello Miguel: I added two of your suggestions 12: OppErr Average of the opponent errors 13: OppN Number of opponents Which inspire me to add one that I think it is better than OppN 14: OppDiv Diversity of opponents. If the number of games is equally distributed, it is the same as OppN, but if most ...

What is OppErr good for and how do you define that?

8, 9 Errors of what?
That's the opponents' ELO error bar (weighted average?).
Correct.

Re: Ordo 1.0.9 (new features for testers)

Hi Miguel, have a look here ... Very small mistake ... # PLAYER : RATING PLAYED (%) D(%) ERROR OppAvg 76 Gaviota 1.0 AVX x64 : 2729.7 7150 42.3% 37.4 6.1 2799.7 Two ways: 42.3% without _%_ or the 37.4 with _%_ Looks better ... Best Frank Yes, I will modify that. Meanwhile... https://github.com/...

Re: Ordo 1.0.9 (new features for testers)

Bug fix https://github.com/michiguel/Ordo/releases/tag/1.0.9.2 When I modified the internal structures in 1.0.9, I omitted to add one line. That slowed down the simulations because they were all "rejected" by the internal checks. It looked like multiprocessing was not working by it was just this sim...
