Re: Ordoprep 0.8

The latest Ordoprep 0.9.3 compiles fine now. By gut feel, it is lightning fast compared to my custom Python script to extract a subset of games from a big file containing millions of PGN games. However it chokes when it can't match from the include file and produce an error message 'Errors in file ...

Re: Ordoprep 0.8

The Ordoprep source don't compile cleanly. The plyrs.c and associated files were not included in the Makefile. I wonder how you produced the executables by omitting these files. I missed plyrs.c by mistake, but it is only needed for the debug version (which I compiled it differently). That is why I...

Re: Ordoprep 0.8

https://github.com/michiguel/Ordoprep/releases/tag/v0.8 It includes the new features added to Ordo lately (see the link for a list of switches). With this, PGN files can be combined, aliases can be used (synonyms), and subset of games from specific engines could be selected. This pre-selection of g...

Re: Why the error bar is wrong... simple example!

If my guess is correct, it would mean that certain engines may perform slightly better against some specific ones and slightly worse against some others. That could be the main reason, bad opening lines being a lesser one? Particularly if some know how to exploit them and some not. That would creat...

Re: Why the error bar is wrong... simple example!

Hello: I'm well over 250k games per engine. In this case, there shouldn't be any rating oscillation over 1 ELO point, for more than 5% of the engines, correct? Wow! Specially if there are not fixed depth=1 games. With a confidence level of 95%, that's it if I am not wrong. Would you mind to share t...

Re: Why the errorbar is wrong ... simple example!

I create two databases and added the games vs. best and weakest opponents. Add th...

Re: Ordo 1.0.9 (new features for testers)

Hello Miguel, That is nice, especially the multiple file possibility. I allways feard that the size of my pgn file will be too big sooner or later. Btw, is there a limit of the file size Ordo can handle and what is the limit for the number of individual PGNs it can include into one list? The alias ...
