Re: Karjakin 17.Bxd5 !

This is one of the most important testpositions i have seen on CCC. The reason is it test higher chessunderstanding . White has with this outpost on d5 a clear strategic advantage. Today no 3300 elo-engine understands this brilliant move. 17.Bxd5 deserves two exclamation marks. After 17.Bxd5 !! the...

Re: Wasp 2.60 by John Stanback released!

Hi Stan

This are fantastic news that we found the right issue.

I had hoped to use a Wasp 2.61 for liveanalyzing of the last two rounds of the FIDE Grand Prix in Mallorca.

https://worldchess.com/gp2017/

But its not the last day of the world.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Greetings

Re: Wasp 2.60 by John Stanback released!

Yes, it could be something with the mp programming because after changing the core to one it works under ARENA 3.51.

But it works only when running with one core.

i hope i couldt help.

Re: Wasp 2.60 by John Stanback released!

After changing the numbers of threads of Wasp 2.6 from 1 to 8 the "show current move" feature also didn´t work under the Shredder GUI.

Is it a mp thing?

Re: Wasp 2.60 by John Stanback released!

Hi Stan

I tried Wasp 2.6 under the Shredder GUI and "current move" works fine here.

But this feature still didn´t work under Arena 3.51 in the analyzing mode on my W7 64 bit OS.

Its a crazy world.

Greetings

Thomas

Re: Wasp 2.60 by John Stanback released!

After running wasp 2.6 more than one hour i can say that wasp didn´t send an info about the current move in the analyse mode.

i hope that this point can be fixed.

Thx for all.

Re: To Frank: about Wasp 2.5 testing

Yes, the next version of Wasp will have multi-pv. I'm hoping to get about +50 Elo over Wasp 2.01 for the next release. But this is proving to be difficult :(. John Please support the uci command "show current move" in the analysis mode for pv 1(no multi-pv). This will be a great gift.8-) Thx in adv...

Re: Fire 6 is available!

Thx for your fast reply.

It´s a good feeling that this point is on the to do list.

This is very nice because Fire 6 understands something about chess.
