Re: Booot 6.2 release

I am finished with the new Booot 6.2 and I am very positivly surprised! 25+ years ago I had to learn PASCAL and this engine is the only one in the Top16 not written in C/C++* with a rating of more than 3000 Elo! 5 Years ago It could be a No.1 Enigne, more than 60 Elo better then the best "marvelous"...

Re: Booot 6.2 release

Thanks for the release, somehow it slipped my attention. I will test it soon.

PS: Why is someone using RAR nowadays. All you files with RAR are 572kB, 7z is compressing this to 364kB ... just asking, no offence!

Re: IPON

then contempt 0 is simply best for Komodo and they do not need contempt at all, unless to play against humans. but I guess your test should not have been very representative in some way. how is it possible to lose points vs a dozen opponents and gain only vs 2 and still break even? I guess differen...

Re: IPON

I know Larry and Mark are going to hate me for this, but why do not you(as a fully personal experiment, in brackets), do a second Komodo test, this time with contempt set to 0? I guess no one has done this until now, and it will be very interesting to compare the results in all ranges. Komodo team ...

Re: IPON

I don't mind the contempt but i am unsure about the rating. At first I thought that is a good idea but what do you do if you get a 3300 and nothing else as Elo?

Is that SSDF, CEGT, IPON or CCRL? Without a common standard this is a lot of guesswork :-)

Re: IPON

If contempt doesn't change that much the Elo in rating list, maybe the default contempt should be set to 0 instead of 10, the rating list would be more accurate to me. I d prefer to see the real score of Komodo against Stockfish and Houdini instead a lower one due to contempt. I am with you here, b...

Re: IPON

Komodo might reach the #1 spot this time on all list, even by not beating Stockfish 8 directly thanks to contempt. .. I have no idea were this is comming from. Olease check the "news" on inwoba.de from the 2016.06.20. That was Komodo 10 with default contempt and without. The difference to the secon...

Re: IPON

As of this writing it looks like the battle with Stockfish for first place on your list is incredibly close and may come down to one or two elo. An exciting finish is in the works. Komodo 10.4 took top place on both CCRL 40/40 lists (4 cpu and 1 cpu) by a single elo point; if we did so on IPON too ...
