Re: My last post on CCC

Hello ! I'm a free man and a free spirit ! I'm not equalitarian but I don't like the working style on CCC. Some can talk near anything some haven't the elementary right to reply. This is a curious approach . I'm member of CCC from many years but in December 2005 one of my post was unpleasant for mod...

Re: Moderator candidate question, topicality.

Do you think the charter should be enforced strictly regarding "on-topic" posts or is there some room, within reason, for personal events and chat? By way of example, if you were moderator, would you delete or let stand Fernando's recent post about the death of his dog Negrita? Thanks for your resp...

Re: CCC Moderator Nominee Information

I'm 37, single, and have now been involved with chess for 20 years as it stands. As far as chess is concerned, I was rated 2200+ FIDE for a few years while I competed actively, and have a few titles (champion of Rio de Janeiro, 2nd in Brazilian Club Championships, etc.). I worked for Convekta for a ...

Moderation - Re: CCC in a crisis?!

Enough. This thread is officially locked.

You guys need to lighten up a bit. Wish you had something better to do with your Saturday nights so I wouldn't have to wake up on a Sunday having to deal with this. Ugh...

Re: Fruit 2.3.1 for CEBoard

Fruit 2.3.1 is now available as a CEBoard engine. A great thanks to Ryan and Fabien ! Note : I have included in the cab the books "varied.bin" and "performance.bin". The EGTB are not included in the cab but are supported by Fruit 2.3.1 for CEBoard. Best regards, Alain Outstanding! Thanks, and many ...

Re: CCC in a crisis?!

I didn't bring it up....Graham did! Think About It! Actually, he is quite correct to do so. One cannot expect the membership to know these things without being told, and as this is a CCC issue. I hadn't realized it had reached the point of harassment though, and will discuss suspensions with him. A...

Re: Poker pros vs. computer

The battle continues beyond the 64 squares! http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news?slug=pokercomputer_072107&prov=ap&type=lgns It is hard to read such horsedung as: "computers are expected to surpass even the best human poker players within a decade. They can already beat virtually any amateur player." a...

Re: Poll on moderation

Last moderator elections took place a long time ago. Is it alright with you to keep having the same team of moderators? Enrique I think that an even more important question is: "Is it alright with them?" Can't speak for Albert or Thorsten on this, but I'm happy to carry on until elections are held,...

Re: Portable recommendation?

I have done alot of testing of various combinations of PDA and chess programs and at the moment I prefer the iPAQ 2750 with a 624Mhz processor and run PocketGrandMaster 3.0 loaded with Toga ll 1.2.1a.The reason I prefer to use the 2750 compared to the 2790 which I also own is because I can use a Ha...
