Re: WinBoard/XBoard 4.8.0 released

hmm... the local error is nothing. Happens when ever you use localization. Not sure how to fix it, but it doesn't seem to hurt anything, plus GIMP has it too. as for the userSpaceScaleFactor, I have never seen that before. And no idea what library could be using that. My OS is newer then yours and ...

Re: WinBoard/XBoard 4.8.0 released

navigate to /Contents/MacOS and double click "XBoard" not "xboard-bin" this will open up the app with a terminal window, and could you tell me of any errors that pop up? I must say this really has me beat. . Sure: http://www.bluefever.net/Grab2.png I also made a quick video: http://www.bluefever.ne...

Re: WinBoard/XBoard 4.8.0 released

Hi, that's annoying... Perhaps macports got borked when I upgraded to 10.10, as I didn't do a clean install after updating, which I should have. But then you would think a heck of a lot more would be broken then just the gtk2 murrine engine... Plus it works for me, and those libraries were compiled...

Re: computerchess on apple

The problem is that some engines might not want to have their directory equal to the directory they are in. Especially Linux engines tend to be in a sub-folder bin, while their books and ini files are in the parent folder. So splitting off the filename and using the rest as directory path does not ...

Re: computerchess on apple

Well, it's user error. :D :D I'm making the point, because I know you've made a lot of effort to make XBoard user friendly - "all with mouse clicks", and it's pretty much there. The engine dialog is confusing though. Maybe it's better just to have the browse field, and not the engine command field? ...

Re: computerchess on apple

Hi Joshua First of all, great job. I installed the beta, but the version in your last post still does not show check boxes on the menus. Can you fix this? As far as engines / polyglot are concerned I had no troubles with 4.7. For reference, anyone installing engines, and installed engine looks like ...

Very nice.

I've been developing a mac GUI myself (but native to Mac OS) - you've done a far better job with the look, especially the pieces.

Good luck.

Later.
Then who do I have to request to get it removed? I can't find the terms and conditions either. Nor in the FAQ.
