Re: Using Freeware AI and Dynamically Generated Endgame Tablebases

My intent was that results so obtained would only be relevant to the original middle game position. This means that I intended that the generated neural networks would be overfitted . If this were plausible, then everyone could start doing it with respect to any complex middle game. Thus, standard ...

Re: testposition from the topboard of the candidates

@Alayan I give moves, you give only words. If you are not interested in the truth of the position leave us alone. The evals/PVs of Leela + Stockfish carry much more weight than one man's opinion. You can do nothing that would prove f4 superior to Rxb6 or the other winning moves, because when it com...

Re: testposition from the topboard of the candidates

If multiple moves are winning, the move that you prefer for aesthetic reason doesn't become "the best move". Dismissing other winning moves as worse is incorrect, especially so when engines much stronger than any of us agree on it not being the most efficient/easiest win.

Re: New Tool

it's not a passion, but a religion (biased, naturally) make silly demands, spit in every direction because there is only one true "god" :D sounds familiar? It has nothing to do with a "religion" to not like when tools are made to run only on windows and can't be used with your OS. And actually, whe...

Re: When will the chess programmers write an engine that plans ?

Yeah, that was a rare occurrence (by easy I mean that it was easy to do it for that game, not that I can do it easily always). My Rapid rating is 150 elo higher than my Blitz rating. You should just link your account to end this pointless back-and-forth. Btw, I got a completely winning position in ...

Re: Zenmastur vs Ovyron No it's not another GROB!

My understanding was that White intended to refute your statement by defeating you. Agreed. A draw with white and the hardware advantage is a failure for Zenmastur. White is supposed to play for the win in this challenge, no amount of spin now to reframe a draw as a success will change this. Saying...

Re: HekaStockfish 0.9

Edit: the code is quite invasive to the search function, although not a lines of code, the search explodes the bench node count signature up to nearly 7 M nodes up from 5 million - one reason why this version sucks at bullet chess - this version is for games 10 minutes plus 6 seconds incrment or lo...

Re: Zenmastur vs Ovyron No it's not another GROB!

0.00 doesn't mean one side isn't better. It means the advantage is small enough that the worse side can still force a draw, and the search showing the 0.00 is deep enough to suggest this. As we know, the draw margin in chess is big. While 0.00 is a single point in static eval ; for deep search eval ...
