Re: Can nobody compile Roden IV

Right Brendan, Its a pitty because of your GREAT engine personalties you composed!! But Rodent IV is MUCH better than Rodent III because you can chose the personality AND set the elo strengh! Because of this you can create a Karpov Personality that plays at full strengh - or set the elo to elo 1800...

Re: Soon a new Fruit/Toga derivative

After a little bit more games, it seems that the formula is ok... https://zupimages.net/up/20/08/lyjb.png But the test continues . The idea of this formula is to do like a human. Usually good players don't see deeper moves than not so good players ... They just make less misevaluations and give les...

Re: Komodo 13.3 released

You're asking to pay for current Komodo and get next versions (Komodo 14, 15, 16, and any future version), for free, aren't you? Not me - everyone who bought a Komodo engine. Look at it from the business perspective... The pool of Komodo customers is likely pretty shallow. So if all of them spend $...

Re: Komodo 13.3 released

The point I'm trying to make is that this increasingly common perception that it is somehow immoral to be paid for your labor is false, as long as you are doing nothing to harm others...who cares? If somebody (or a team) spend hundreds of hours coding, testing and trying to market a NEW product, to...

Re: Komodo 13.3 released

Well, if someone offered the Komodo team $10,000 in exchange for all incoming Komodo versions and updates I'm sure they'd gladly accept the deal! The point I'm trying to make is that this increasingly common perception that it is somehow immoral to be paid for your labor is false, as long...

Re: Komodo 13.3 released

Would you suggest the same business advice for Apple with regard to iPhone releases? Absolutely yes. Okay. How about... Would you accept your employer only pay your first salary, but have you work on an ongoing basis, based on that original salary? That is, would you work forever, if somebody paid ...

if I buy an engine I should have all updates for free, instead of paying $ 100 every year - here a greed and a vindictiveness are appearing to money

Re: Banksia GUI released

To BrendanJNorman: I guess on your computer BSG crash not only by re-arranging windows but for other situations (thus you could not use it), is it correct? If yes, please tell me more details. Thanks again. Not sure buddy. I have a feeling it's related to the engine info/PV window, but I'm not sure...

Re: Banksia GUI released

Version 0.15 released * Fixed bugs: almost all known bugs so far.  The most important ones are (hopefully) the root bugs of crashing/exiting problems of BSG. Look like BSG now can run tournaments much more smoothly. Other bugs: couldn’t load some online PGN files, show some wrong stats for tourname...
