Re: What is the outcome of this unusual endgame

Latest SF Dev show mere -1 for black. Short analysis. 5nnk/5ppp/8/8/8/8/7P/5BBK w - - 0 0 Suprisingly this is considered as big edge -1 plus. Which cast some doubts on the credibility on the BB ~ NNP rule of thumb. 1n2k1n1/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPP1PPP/2B1KB2 w - - 0 0 https://i.postimg.cc/Cx13y5V5/Cool...

Re: Released my new App Diamond Chess Online for Android

Cool app +1 Downloaded.

For chess players who have lived at least a while, the ICC will always be a bit nostalgic. I think the ICC is having a bad time because people prefer free sites instead. It is conceivable that the ICC has had a tough decade precisely because of free sites abounding.

Re: What is the outcome of this unusual endgame

Re: What is the outcome of this unusual endgame

Against a pair of knights the bishops will almost certainly dominate - so much so that the rule of thumb 'B+B = N+N+P' has more than a ring of truth to it.

It may be winning for black.

Re: Dragon by Komodo Chess

I tried this unique position for Dragon as black against SF and Lc0. It looks like white has good compensation for a couple of pawns. The compromise is that blacks are not allowed to castle. So far, the games ends as draw. I was wondering if any other settings apart from default makes it doable for ...

Evaluation doesn't mean a thing. Engines can evaluate a dead-lost position as +8.5. You would have to play out the game.
Correct. I'll see how it goes.

What is the outcome of this unusual endgame

BB vs NNPP | +1.5 pawn edge for black. Is white able to defend ?
