Re: MadChess 2.1 Released - Supports Windows, Linux, Mac

Unfortunately Mad Chess doesn't run under Linux Mint 18, 64 bit, using Arena 1.1 for Linux. I have created Mad Chess explicitly as a UCI engine in Arena engine settings. The protocol says (sorry for some words in German :-)): 2017-02-25 18:15:51.238*1*------------------------Starte Motor 1 Mad Chess...

Re: Opening book in bin-format

Hi Vincent,

Thanks for the information!
Btw, on the Scid homepage there's an update for the opening books provided you mentioned: http://sourceforge.net/projects/scid/fi ... p/download

Opening book in bin-format

Until now I've been using the database functionality of Scid vs. PC (with Linux Mint). Now I would like to use Scid vs. PC also for the analysis of my games. There exist a number of very good opening books in ctg and abk format but (in my opinion) only a few in bin forrmat. Is there a possibility to...

Hi,
Same issue with Fritz 13 GUI. The message is: 0xc000007b (in German: "Die Anwendung kann nicht richtig initialisiert werden").

Re: Alfil 15.7

Hi Enrique, I tried to install Alfil (32 and 64 bit - "Portable" and "Engine" version from your web site) with Arena 3.5 on Windows Vista 64 bit. In all cases I receive an error. The third attempt to install the "Windows" option the installation is being aborted by the anti-virus software. Since I s...

Re: zurichess appenzeller - new version

Hi Alexandru,

Thanks for the new version! In a short test with game level "x seconds per move" I've noticed that the engine moves almost immediately (<1 second calculation time per move, no exceptions) although I've defined 5s and in another game 10s per move.

Thanks, Alex

Re: Mr.Ruxy versus Zurichess

Hi Alexandru,
This would be great!
BTW, I've checked a level with "x moves in y minutes" and everything is alright.
Best, Alex

Re: Mr.Ruxy versus Zurichess

I have some strange behavior. Zurichess doesn't make a move, but Arena says: illegal move! The moves are: 1. a3 g6 2. h3 -- illegal move -- (White is me, Black is Zurichess). Here is the engine output from Arena 3.5 (sorry for some German ;-)) ----------Neue Partie---2015-01-20 22:58:16,396 Di -----...

Re: Mr.Colin Jenkins - Oscar 2014 in computer chess !!!

Hi Colin, I've asked Edmund if he has plans for a Linux version of jsUCI. Let's look what he's going to answer! Concerning node.js I would be happy to test an enhancement of Lozza! It's a nice engine I like to play with. Since I don't use Lozza for analysis purposes the "side effects" you mentioned ...

Hi Edmund,
Do you have plans to develop a version of JSUCI for Linux?
Best regards,
