Re: Lczero stalled in progress?
Obviously the move is 27. Qxd7 which Leela fails to play when given the history. If shown just the FEN, it finds it. Tests of previous neural network versions show the following probability to play Qxd7, as reported in the GitHub: 27. Qxd7 or 27. Rxd7 ? Wish Leela reversing the downward trend ASAP....

Re: Reasons behind YLCET shutting down - again
I applaud you for the things you are guilty of and look forward to the next YLCET whenever that may be.

Re: LCZero: Progress and Scaling. Relation to CCRL Elo
Regardless, the concept of temperature is designed to add variety in positions, while the concept of noise is to find blind spots in the evaluation, the variety here is just a byproduct. That's the reason for the pull request I referenced: I used temperature instead of noise for variety, but with a...

Re: LCZero: Progress and Scaling. Relation to CCRL Elo
Within error margins, no significant progress was made in my flawed testing from ID101 to ID113, almost 500,000 games, which is worrying. At this site https://www.twitch.tv/ccls they do some semi-regular testing of recent stronger networks against a panel of 25 engines in the range 1645 - 2080 elo....

Re: LCZero: Progress and Scaling. Relation to CCRL Elo
I am bit puzzled by their ratings here http://lczero.org/networks. I was puzzled too before M. van der Bergh explained in https://groups.google.com/d/msg/lczero/vRGdUUXVM5E/qMIqeuQsBwAJ that rating measurements as done for the various networks are not reliable. As I understand, the networks are mat...

Re: latest asmfish/matefish with weakness
There seems to be a bug in latest asmFish: It should contain the Contempt=20 patch (see ChangeLog: https://github.com/lantonov/asmFish/wiki/Change-log ), but the default contempt in the Windows-binary ( https://github.com/lantonov/asmFish/tree/executables/Windows ) is still 0 ??? This was corrected...

Re: LCZero update
Wouldn't it be faster if initially you train against Stockfish? Once the learning curve levels you can continue with self-play.

Thanks, David. YLCET is everything viewers can wish for. And our wishes come true in real time as we watch the games.

Re: Banned from TCEC chat
By the way, I am stunned by your accusation that we favor Komodo. What utter nonsense. I mean, where does that come from? Unlike Chatwing, it is not possible (at least for me) to dig up old conversations in Twitch. If it was possible, I could show hundreds of places where it comes from. To be clear...

Re: Banned from TCEC chat
Read above in the blue field in the TCEC site: "There's a new sheriff in town!" Everyone who has been for the last couple of years in TCEC chat knows who is this "sheriff". He bans people on a whim, especially if someone says something that can be interpreted as a critique of TCEC or Komodo or a pro...
