Re: Can somebody compare the AMD Ryzen processors to the intel processors

I have a ThinkPad w/Ryzen7 4800U + 16 GB DDR5 Dual channel + 256 GB M.2 super fast SSD. I guess you mean DDR4? I thought Lenovo only puts 4750U Pro not 4800U in their laptops. Which model is that? This baby is mine: https://www.lenovo.com/fi/fi/laptops/thinkpad/edge-series/ThinkPad-E14-Gen2-AMD/p/2...

Re: Can somebody compare the AMD Ryzen processors to the intel processors

As an AMD fanboy: I have a ThinkPad w/Ryzen7 4800U + 16 GB DDR5 Dual channel + 256 GB M.2 super fast SSD. I have 1 TB external HDD for backups. Might buy another SSD if it's faster/better. My Ryzen's 16 CPUs are sitting at 0-2% all the time. Never swapping. My old crappy Intel i3 was throttling high...

Re: Mayhem NNUE - New NN engine

Mayhem 4.0 released: https://github.com/SamuraiDangyo/mayhem/releases/tag/v4.0 New net + some cleanup This version probably isn't much stronger. If at all. Due to the new net. I ran only a few Blitz games. But it beat Fruit 2.1 w/ ~90% so it can't be that bad. This net has sacrificial style. :D I'm ...

Re: M1 Apple Silicon for Chess?

I don't see any cockblocking that Apple users aren't allowed to enjoy their devices.

lol ARM is perfect and x86 is crap.
For me the deal breaker is the lack of USB-A ports.
That's why ThinkPad!
Despite the stupid Windows tax.

Never owned any Apple device, so I can't comment their OS.

Re: Mayhem NNUE - New NN engine

Mayhem 3.9 released: https://github.com/SamuraiDangyo/mayhem/releases/tag/v3.9 Speedups + Blind bishop problem fixed. etc. Much stronger (+100 ELO) than Hakkapeliitta 3.0 For shit and giggles. Mayhem 3.9 classic (No NNUE + no book) vs Fairy-Max finally 10-0  [Event "Computer Chess Game"] [Site ...

Re: Convert 64bits signed to unsigned

The 64th bit isn't a sign bit. It presents: -9223372036854775808 The largest number is 9223372036854775807 It is a sign bit. A signed int is stored as two's complement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two%27s_complement I don't know about that gdscript. In Rust. Smt like this when types are fucked. 2...

Re: Mayhem NNUE - New NN engine

Mayhem 3.7 unleashed ! https://github.com/SamuraiDangyo/mayhem/releases/tag/v3.7 Faster and slightly better than v3.6 slow binaries are pretty slow, but works well. I'm getting (slow) 4.6 MNPS vs (fast build) 7 MNPS. Ryzen builds are super fast tho. Thanks to mar for measuring classical. ~2300 Elo i...
