Re: Feature request: Save installed engine automatically

Also one more thing. I have noticed that when I go to select themes, often the theme folders are greyed out until I change the search type from nothing to "All files" and reload the folder. This seems to me more a GTK issue, but is there anything we can do to work around it by having it choose "All ...

Re: Feature request: Save installed engine automatically

Seems to work great, I made a test build if anyone would like to try it. Also, Harm if you could pull in the patches from Savannah master to your branch, that would make it easier for me make builds, as I have a few fixes there post 4.9.1 (also a few more translations). http://www.mediafire.com/file...

Re: Feature request: Save installed engine automatically

For the checkbox, I suppose that's reasonable. For me, I use that checkbox for testing, in which case, it's great. Is the new code completely incompatible with the option? -defaultInstallProtocol sounds like a good idea. For the OSX app, I'd be content to add a -clearDefaultEngineDir flag or somethi...

Re: Feature request: Save installed engine automatically

Hey Harm! I saw some of your new work and wanted to give it a try. There looks to be a bug with the checkbox "Add this engine too list" where it appears to be adding the engine regardless if the box is checked or not. For autodetection, Are there any special settings for -adapterCommand and -uxiAdap...

Re: Wine 2.0 with 64 bit support for macOS

Unfortunately the issue that originally stopped them from supporting OSX with wine64 hasn't actually been worked around. They just decided that maybe it won't affect all applications, and to go ahead with it anyway. In my experience there are a few 64bit chess engines that won't run. Fire for instan...

Re: It displays an error message when changing first engine

Not a winboard bug, If the engine doesn't support the loaded variant, it does that. Shokidoki is a shogi engine.

Re: Help request for debugging ICS

Uninitialized global variables? I think my C++ programming teacher would die simply so she could role in her grave.

The only global variables were were allowed to use were static global constants. XD

Re: GNUChess 6.2.4 TM under Arena and WB-2 protocol

I compiled it (check pm) It works just fine in XBoard on OSX in Xboard mode and UCI. Don't know about arena. If not, it's Arena's fault.
