Got the release preview up and running in a virtualized environment and looks good. Will play around with it for a bit.

Re: My W8 Experience

Nice review. I will probably get Windows 8 on a new laptop-tablet hybrid. Most of these guys who complain about windows are hypocrites.

I always find it funny that Mac users use Parallels to run windows after talking highly of Apple. :D

Re: Windows 8 Released Today

Sounds about right to me. Good riddance to windows. What a piece of shit operating system :P Linux for the geeks, and OS X/iOS/Android for the rest of us. You mean such as ISPs/Governments/Stock Exchanges/Amazon/Facebook/Google/etc ? I have windows, android AND LINUX but these all have their purpos...

Re: Windows 8 Released Today

windows 8 is the helpless effort of bill gates to get market areas back from the tablet market and also give the PC/notebook area new innovation because it was decreasing like hell. many people have come to the opinion that tablets and mobiles are enough to do whatever they want/need. microsoft was...

Re: Windows 8 Released Today

This thread is going of-topic with people's irrelevant political rants that belong in CTF. Windows 8 is here whether you like it or not, and whether you have a need for it or not. Businesses do not run on Slackware/Gentoo Linux because it is "free". I'm yet to see anybody standing outside offering s...

Re: My favorite chess apps for android

As promised I finally got round to installing Chess for Android . Installed it and played two games against it which I won, even at the highest level. Installing an engine was not so easy (for me). Where are engines like Stockfish kept on android? I downloaded Stockfish Engine by Karl Schreiner and ...

Re: Stockfish clones in the AppStore: it's becoming a plague

I haven't read through all the 14 pages however can someone sum up :- - what is Apple's response? I can still see some of the apps on the links provided on the 1st page. - doesn't the Appstore allow reviewing of apps by users as people should be pointing out app x or y that is sold is a clone? I don...
