Re: The Busted Dutch
Lol. I posted 5-6 answers/posts. they were regularly submitted, and now they have disappeared! So much effort for nothing. I am out of this. One day everybody will know 2. d5 is best. PS. Did Harm delete all my posts because I complained from the forum outlay? If anyone is unhappy with my answers, g...

Re: The Busted Dutch
Following the analysis of your 4th variation from your book. Leela prefers 3. Nc3 here over 3.c4 https://i.ibb.co/6HfcQKH/posa.png And really digs 4. ... a5 over 4. ... d6 https://i.ibb.co/S0mBY8Q/posb.png See what you made me do. Now back to game one. For the record I play humans so a...

Re: The Busted Dutch
Hi Lyudmill, I just downloaded the kindle version of your book and just finished reading the forward. :D Anyway I let Leela (J13B2-136) sit on your Dutch opening position and it likes 2. g3. After giving it 2. d5 it feels black has a 49% chance of winning with Nf6. Yes, after 2.d5, Lc0 suggests tha...

Re: The Busted Dutch
How is 30-40 centipawns "busted"? Black is struggling in both the mainline and Bf4 setups. It's very hard to get anything below +1 for black after 2.Bf4 and the resulting positions are very painful and passive. Even if 2.d5 is good you have to beat the other options for it to be worth it and that's...

Re: The Busted Dutch
Matter of fact is though, the Dutch (Defence) is busted. Or at least, far far from optimal. What do my year-long investigations show? rnbqkbnr/ppppp1pp/8/5p2/3P4/8/PPP1PPPP/RNBQKBNR w KQkq - 0 2 2.d5 is not even in the top twenty according to Lc0 (network 320x24.J13-swa-410000) with 100M nodes. Not...

The Busted Dutch
I want to post one more topic since my last essential topic message some couple hundred years ago. Forget about hundred. Some say I have been original. Is that really so? Now, Harm will really go crazy, and also Henk, Eelco (how are you doing, buddy?) and (unfortunately) Houdart. Matter of fact is t...

Re: The Fine Art of Chess
I will shortly just address some messages here, as I don't want to make this thread too long. Actually, the faster it is concluded, the better. Tired of all that fuss. Chris (Whittington, I suppose, sorry, if I am wrong), THANK YOU very very much. I feel much safer now, in your presence. :D "Seconda...

If the thread gets too long or goes out of hand, you may simply close it.
