How could they video cam him in the toilet? Is that legal? Is it moral?

I agree. It's even more disturbing than the cheating itself.

FYI, here in the US (don't know about elsewhere) evidence obtained illegally is not allowable in court.

Re: Sting SF 15 64-bit Gauntlet for CCRL 40/40

The "problems" are usually endgame studies with deep solutions, often involving zugzwang. This is where Sting excels, its raison d'etre, if you will.

Re: Komodo MCTS

The Lc0 endgame trolling is supposedly due to how its NN are trained, if my understanding is correct - (and that's always doubtful :| ), although one would hope that with few pieces on the board the MCTS search wouldn't have that much trouble finding a more direct win. Now, what could be Komodo's tr...

Re: Why there is no interest in Computer with odds Vs Humans match?

Based on your work with Lc0, what would have to be done to make Lc0 play handicap chess well, other than revert to an old network like 11248? Can you explain why 11248 could beat GM Naroditsky at piece odds, while the new networks just blunder left and right when trying to give knight or more odds?...

Good luck with your renamed engine, Mike. The new name is quite alright. :)

Cheers!

Re: delay vs increment

What is a delay? Instead of adding time back to the clock as an increment would, the clock stops for the duration of the delay. The main difference is that you can't gain time on the clock with a delay by making fast shuffling moves on purpose. This delay feature works well in human tournaments. It...
