Re: EXchess 6.96b 64-bit Gauntlet for CCRL 40/40

Thanks, Graham! Both for the dedicated testing and the summary of progress. It is interesting to see the progress listed like this, as it sometimes seems like progress is frustratingly slow.

Yes, thanks for catching that! Fixed now. The only change is what it reports as the version number in console mode, so I just replaced the archive on my website.

EXchess v7.97

Just in case it gets lost in the other thread... I've updated EXchess. With everyone's help I finally found the issue with reading search.par in those cases where THREADS did not equal 1 in search.par. I think I've fixed it now, and a new version, v7.97 is now at... https://sites.google.com/site/exp...

Re: EXchess v7.96

Hi Dan, First I deleted the search par file from 7.96. Suddenly the program was running on 1 CPu. Then I copied the search file from version 7.88 in the 7.96 folder. The program crashed again. Without search par file 7.96 is running but with 1 cpu. Not with 4 or 8. With search par file it crashes i...

Re: EXchess v7.96

I have tested the supplied Windows versions without problems. The 32bit version works ok including tablebases on an old AMD 1.8GHz Duron in Arena on Windows XP, and also on an old 2.9GHz Pentium 4 in Arena on linux Mint 17 32bit using wine. The 64bit version worked ok including tablebases with an A...
