Re: Opening book for game with handicap

Use my Armageddon openings: https://www.sp-cc.de/armageddon-openings.htm They contain 3 Levels. Level 3 means, Black has no pawn on a7. Each level contains 4 opening-sets: SuperGM_4moves, IM_4moves, FEOBOS, 6 pawnplies. As PGN- and EPD-file. I built opening-books out of the 2 bigger files (IM_4moves...

Re: The Price of Contempt and Armageddon

Due to how I implement contempt, it very naturally means Winter will natively support the Armageddon format. The contempt works by changing the value for a draw, which Winter can do because the development version's evaluation function estimates win, draw and loss probabilities. So I will be adding...

Re: which is strongest NN network for cpu only?

Thanks, do you happen to know what Lc0 version and what settings would be best with LD2 for CPU use? Is there any maximum number of threads that will contribute to strength? The latest lc0 0.22.0, no reason to choose an older version. And when lc0 thinks on CPU only, there is no thread-limit. The m...

Re: which is strongest NN network for cpu only?

Which NN network, Lc0 or other, is currently believed to be the strongest one for use only on a CPU, no GPU? I've seen posts on this before, but this is always changing. I understand it should be a small network. No doubt, that LD2 is the strongest for CPU. 10x128 built out of T40 training games. h...

Re: SPCC: Testruns of Stockfsh 190826 and Lc0 LD2 finished

Stockfish 190826 --> Elo 3543, but in some parts of your report (Ordo, and compared to 190814) you took 3545 :) The complete ORDO calculation with all tested Stockfish-versions is (of course) a little bit distorted, because of so much Stockfish-Testruns. The undistorted result is the smaller ORDO-c...
