Re: My failed attempt to change TCEC NN clone rules

I recently tested Allie vs Lc0 on similarity, same NN's thus testing the code base.

75% is pretty high.

But then NN is a whole different subject in comparison when it's about similarity.

Re: ChessMaster:Worlds Greatest Chess Program Or Corrupt Criminal Enterprise?

ChessMaster:Worlds Greatest Chess Program Or Corrupt Criminal Enterprise? Worlds Greatest Chess Program is Fritz. Corrupt Criminal Enterprise? - On the box of a ChessMaster version (around 1993/94) it was stated the program was world champion. That was not true. I contacted them, they said they wou...

Re: Computer Chess and Capitalism

And another derail, you are not willing to admit (or you just don't see, which is even worse) you broke the charter yourself by calling someone an anarchistic trouble-maker then you are unfit for moderator. Now that we are talking anyway, the rule here is that we have moderator elections twice a yea...

Re: Computer Chess and Capitalism

The question was more, who moderates a moderator that makes himself a subject to moderation. As Dann pointed out, there is more than one moderator. You don't have to beat around the bush: just openly state that you think thread hijacking and publicly quarreling with the moderator in violation of th...

Re: Computer Chess and Capitalism

Then you are wrong on all counts. The thread was not about ChessMaster, but was asking for WinBoard engines. Anyone not suggesting a WinBoard engine was already off-topic. This was a clear example of thread hijacking, to which other people took offense. Thread hijacking is an undesired behavior on ...

Re: SIMEX 2.1

I think Hiarcs, Gandalf, ProDeo regarding the evaluation belong to the old-class generation before the open source revolution of Fruit, Strelka, Robbolito and currently Stockfish began and were not influenced, hence low similarity. I added a few oldies, Ruffian, Hiarcs 13 and Shredder 8. Seems to co...
