Yes, nice game but - indeed with some engines - I see another draw now:
30.-a6 31. Rdc1 Bd7 32. e6 fxe6 33. fxe6 axb5 34. exd7 Rh6 35. Nd3 Rah8 36. Rxc6 Rxc6 37. Rxc6 Kxc6 38. Ne5+ and now 38.-Kc5 or 38.-Kd6 end in a draw. Here Carlsen was somewhat better.
Ah, I see he played 30.-a5 Impressive game!

Re: Smartphone Stockfish-benchmarks
Yes,I get the same kN/s on my iPad 4 and I wonder about the huge difference between it and between iPhone 5s.... Dr.D I am not sure about the A6X (iPad4) and A6 (iPhone5) but Apple declares the new A7 two times faster than the "A6" (A6X?). A6 is 2cores (1,3 Ghz) 32-bit, A6X is 2cores (1,4 Ghz) 32-b...

Smartphone Stockfish-benchmarks
I am not sure if there is a real comparison of the complete list. In the future it could be better to add informations about OS-version and App-version.
My results for some iOS-devices, using iOS 7.02 and Stockfish 2.7.0 (2013/09/26)
iPhone 5S:
1095.6 kN/s
iPad 4:
587.7 kN/s
iPad 3:
293.8 kN/s

You should have a look at
http://www.schachbund.de/dwz/
for his national rating. Than you can ask again - it is more easy to recommand a chessbook if you know the rating.

Re: SmallChess
Your App is really great! Many thanks for the Promotion Code. I just updated to iOS 6 and wonder about all your improvements, particularly: - Multi-PV (just 2 but this is enough) >> Settings, Coaching, Style, Multi - Gaviota-TB >> Settings, Coaching, Style, TB - Multi Core switch >> Settings, Engine...

It is of course the mother of all plagiarists - or let me say the queen! Compared with it Mr. K-T zu Guttenberg is an absolute beginner...JuLieN wrote:We've got a new world champion of cheeky cloner!![]()

Re: How Much Is Hiarcs 14 worth?
Before the ippolitos came along Hiarcs was among the top 10 programs. Sometimes our appreciation must be in showing respect for what he accomplished all these years. In its chequered history it seems quite original without any trace of plagiarism. Honesty is a rare quality... As a mark of respect t...

Re: Daily iPhone chess programs releases
As this new free app doesn't seem to support variations when going through a game. (one of the things I love about ChessPro.) It is the same in both versions but may be variations was not switched on in the options menu at your new "Schach" (free) installation (german: Optionen => Erlaube Untervari...

Re: Apps with Stockfish engine
Yes, I have seen that very expensive app as well but here you can´t see it at the app store because Majestic Chess has it´s own GUI and graphic - not that bad but Stockfish is even better so there is no reason to buy this app.
