Re: Tucano 8.00 release.

Hey Gabor,
Yes, the command line option is "-syzygy_path". Also, just to confirm the UCI or WB option would be "SyzygyPath". Just the command line has the _.
Thanks.

Re: Tucano 8.00 release.

- Syzygy endgame tablebase support, using fathom probing tool, Special thanks to Jon Dart. - UCI protocol support. I recommend running as UCI engine from now on. Does that mean Tucano is not able to use the syzygy bases in WB mode? Or something else? EDIT: I have found a variable syzygy_path in the...

Re: Ivanhoe plays singlecore in TCEC 13 !!

Yesterday I was watching the game between Deus-X and Tucano and noticed that Tucano shows an incredibly low speed (around 1 mnps, sometimes even lower), so I suspect it was only using one core. Also the configured hash (1024 Mb) seems very low for a lazy-smp engine with these long thinking times. M...

Re: Ivanhoe plays singlecore in TCEC 13 !!

Regarding tucano, I looked at the code, and is not properly reporting the nodes count. Also the max hash is 1024  . Those should be addressed in future releases. This version 7.05 playing in TCEC had few updates related to time control, and few search tweaks. Hope this clarifies and won't gene...

Re: texel tuning

You have to create a function to loop a range of values and keep the one that minimizes e. You can select the range values. Here is my code. double calc_min_k(void) { double k = 0; double i; double e; double s = 9999; for (i = -2; i <= 2; i += 0.1) { e = calc_e_main(i, tune_param_value, MAX_THREADS,...

Re: Enxadrista 1.00 Release - Instructional chess engine

Thanks again Carlos, I updated the description in github and included your twitch channel.
I think it is fine to just have an idea of the strength. Enxadrista won't be a competitive engine. I hope it can be a documentation reference for Portuguese speaking programmers.

Re: Enxadrista 1.00 Release - Instructional chess engine

Thank you very much Carlos. I appreciated.
If you don't mind, can I update the documentation and include those results?
I can link to your twitch to give the credits, ok?

Re: Enxadrista 1.00 Release - Instructional chess engine

Hey Carlos, it is very weak, I only tested against tcsp and lost badly.
