I managed to make it work in linux by commenting out the lines #535, #763, #820 as gbtami (Bajusz Tamás) mentioned Still seems it not work for a game not starting from initial position, as an example, the following game cant be analyzed: [Event ""] [Site ""] [Date ""] [R...

Re: TCEC stage 3 , New Houdini starts with a bang

What was wrong with Komodo's settings? People should at least be entitled to a proper explanation by the organizers. The differences can be found in the initial game comment. Before: BlackEngineOptions: Use Syzygy=true; Syzygy Probe Depth=2; Syzygy Probe Limit=6; Dynamism=110; After: BlackEngineOpt...

Re: Engines with Fantastic Style List

Can anyone recommend some 'weaker' (2400, 2200, 2000, 1800) engines, preferably UCI, that exhibit good style? Look in the next list, full of engines in the range you are asking, but can't tell about their styles. SOURCE: http://adamsccpages.blogspot.com.ar/p/also-rans-rating-list.html Rating List &...

Re: Do You Agree With Kasparov?

Seems he asked if there was strong players, probably to spend more time on them and the information was not given. The video information says: This simultaneous exhibition was held in the Sci-bono centre, Johannesburg on 13th Nov. 2011. At this time, Gary Kasparov had won 26 games and drawn 1 and wa...

Re: TCEC Season 7 - Main Thread

Komodo won a game yesterday that was absolutely remarkable and shows what tremendous progress computer chess engines have made in the last few years. A position that seemed like totally a fortress position was expertly handled by Komodo, and I really think it is the only engine that would have mana...

Re: Simply incredible Stockfish win in TCEC Season 7 Stage 2

Yes, 1 Hour per side would be a reasonable compromise. Perhaps half an hour won't chase me away if it is an interesting game. there are lots of short tournaments. I also think TCEC is too long to watch live, but I load TCEC website almost every day to see results and replay some games *as fast I wi...

Re: Simply incredible Stockfish win in TCEC Season 7 Stage 2

http://www.chessbomb.com/embed/2014-tcec-s7st2/05-Stockfish-Jonny Hello Jeffrey, Isn't there an adage that if you sacrifice a rook and win the game, it is a brilliancy, but if you lose it is the worst blunder ever? Later. After rook sacrifice, give black side to SF and white side to a strong engine...

Re: Scid vs. PC 4.13

No.. :( I'd like to have included Phalanx updates, but Dusan has changed Phalanx's output format, and i didnt get around to adapting the changes for the "Computer - Phalanx" feature. Ok, Understand. I asked because i suspected you Phalanx version was adapted and if I include new version I will end ...
