Re: Slow Chess Blitz Classic

Hi Jonathan, is there some hope for a mac version of Slow Chess Blitz Classic please? :) Using wine is atm no option, because your engine crashed immediately after sending uciok. $ wine slow64.exe uci id name SlowChess Blitz Classic 1.4b id author Jonathan Kreuzer option name Hash type spin default ...

Re: Scorpio 3.0

Played now several games between Scorpio and other engines within HIARCS Chess Explorer on macOS. All without any problems! There is a issue with the analysis mode (at least with HCE gui). After activating analysis, Scorpio (uci) shows it's thinking process on the position. Fine, but when going thro...

Re: Crystal, the new tactical monster

As Mike pointed out, there is no real anomalous behavior here. When the switch to Rh1 occurs, it is still a vast improvement from -6 to -1 (the search has not yet seen that Bxh7+ is winning). TBs usage can result in different search cutoffs at different plies & depths, which can add some variabilit...

Re: Crystal, the new tactical monster

there is a difference here , in the first , the eval is hugely negative, then turns positive = correct behavior in the second , the eval is still negative, it has not solved it. Rh1 is a good move , since it turns a huge negative into a near equal game, but Bxh7 wins outright are you using some 7 m...

Re: Crystal, the new tactical monster

Just noticed a strange behavior at a test position from this thread [D]1r3rk1/3bbppp/1qn2P2/p2pP1P1/3P4/2PB1N2/6K1/qNBQ1R2 w - - bm Bxh7+; With 128 MB hash and 1 thread on a mac. without tbs : Crystal 1.1 finds Bxh7+ after fantastic 27" and stays with it 0.00: -10.43/3 1.fxe7 Nxe7 2.Bd2 0.00: -10.57...

Re: Scorpio 3.0

But note that you will not be able to use neural networks with it at the moment. It could be possible to use tensorflow on mac in the future, however TensorRT does not support mac yet. Thanks for the fix. Scorpio 3.0.1 now compiles and runs here (within chess gui, which supports uci only). Looking ...

Re: Scorpio 3.0

Thanks a lot Daniel, what a nice surprise ! While Scorpio version 3.0 compiles fine on a mac , there are issues compiling the new uci version 3.0.1 from Scorpio-master. $ ./build.sh clang rm -rf attack.o scorpio.o eval.o hash.o moves.o parallel.o probe.o search.o mcts.o see.o magics.o util.o ../bin...
