Re: Wasp 3.60 available (for DGT Pi too, for chess computer lovers)

Hi John, Elo formula is right. Opinions about Elo is quite different. Shredder 12 = 2.800 Elo = opinion after self playing from GM Meyer (around the year 2010, interview for Schachwelt). GM Meyer speaking from one core on Dual Core Notebook with 7300er Intel processor. SWCR (Schach-Welt-Computer-Rat...

Re: Wasp 3.60 available (for DGT Pi too, for chess computer lovers)

Hi Ted, at the moment I have really a lot of fun to compare Wasp with the older chess computers. The chess computer community have an opponent more with that idea. CT800 program by Rasmus is also great program for such an idea. Programming knowledge from the past vs. Programming knowledge from a mod...

Re: Wasp 3.60 available (for DGT Pi too, for chess computer lovers)

Hi Allan, that's interesting. The Raspberry by John is also a bit faster as my DGT Pi. Honestly, more as 2.600 Elo on DGT I never used. But self playing and games vs. the older chess computers is very interesting for me. To added Wasp / CT800 in the chess computer I will start next week is also an e...

Re: Experiment 11 - Similarity between the top engines back then and now.

Hi Ed, sorry for my late answer! I am looking not often in chess fora for the moment. I am suffering on the older chess computer fever, you understand ... And you are one of the guilty persons! :-) Arena: I don nothing with Arena since my work ended here around 2009 or so. No, no ... That's a grafic...

Re: playwitharena.com domain renewed

Hi there, sure that Andreas from Hostix (provider) can solved the problem, perhaps with yourself. Thanks for your mail. I send a copy of your mail to Andreas, BTW for yourself. No contacts to my older partners since a very long time. I hope Martin Blume and Michael Diosi are OK?! But for myself Aren...

Hello Ed, http://www.amateurschach.de/common/feobos/excel/engines-3.png Based on average of 41.614 opening positions for each of the ten engines. Re: Arena website down >= 48 hrs

I pay allways for the account "www.amateurschach.de" and many years for "www.playwitharena.com". Since around 7 or 8 years only for "www.amateurschach.de". But I am sure that Michael pay for the account, but this one isn't a topic for that forum. But I am sure, that the Arena guys today like it if t...
