Re: BootChess (minimal chess engine)

I didn't liked the fact it puts its own king in check and only considers half-ply (per author comments), so I made from scratch my own program. And here it is Toledo Atomchess :) in only 481 bytes of x86 machine code, it searchs 3-ply depth and doesn't make illegal moves http://nanochess.org/chess6....

Re: Solving Chess Kickstarter

Forgetting all else involved with solving chess, let's agree that to do this we need a database capable of several requirements. I'll list these and then someone please show me the db structure that i am so blissfully unaware of that accomplishes these requirements. 1. Is capable of storing any leg...

Re: Voilà ! I can access it using Thor project's browser !

I´m just wondering why the hell I can´t access a chess site with my IP ... It's a simple thing. One IP of a Internet Service Provider is shared by several users (usually a number between 100 and 1000) Some of these users have viruses (or are hackers!) and they target some sites linked, for ...

Re: Voilà ! I can access it using Thor project's browser !

Don't worry.

Use a proxy service. I've found that http://www.hidemyass.com/ (a very strange name if you ask me) can access various sites that show as blocked from Mexico. Including the aforementioned http://www.colecovision.dk/

Good luck!

Re: Arena site still "forbidden" ?

I'm afraid this happens a lot with many sites. Many site providers are running anti-spam IP filters using services like projecthoneypot.org For example, from Mexico I cannot access most of Danish domains like colecovision.dk and almost everything ending with dk Other sites in the Netherlands like ww...

Re: Toledo Nanochess: The commented source code (book)

This is a tiny program isn't it? If so, how can such a small program take 180 pages to comment? It's because the compression possibilities of C language, a handful of characters does a lot of operations ;) Half book is for Toledo Nanochess and the rest of book discuss basics of chess programming, t...
