Re: Banksia GUI released

I have managed to load individual old chess computer ROM engines from the CB-Emu package but is there a way to load more than one ROM engine at the same time? No, the ROM files are no Windows executables, you have to call 'MessChess.exe' with the 'engine' name as parameter. This can be done by a ba...

Weird. Maybe weaker engines have an easier time due to less aggressive pruning? Myrddin solves this in 21 seconds...

Re: Good resource for old dos engine manuals?

Anyone know of a good place I can download manuals for old dos engines? I am playing around with MChess 5 today and I would really like the manual. Hi John, I doubt that there's a website with such manuals, but at least I have uploaded the MCP5 manual in PDF format for you: https://www110.zippyshar...

Re: MessChess

Unfortunately, these modules can only play long time controls, as they always lose on time in blitz. Sorry, but that's complete nonsense! All modules have different levels (also for Blitz), but of course YOU have to enter the correct level settings. And of course you can't just use any pre-defined ...

Re: MessChess

Are you considering a direct interface to the Certabo boards? Well, AFAIK the Certabo team has already added MessChess to their board, but I don't know how well this works. Since I don't have a Certabo board, of course I can't make any interface to it, and I'm not interested to support all kinds of...

I know I've asked this before, but is there any likelihood of getting either the Kasparov SPARC or the Franz Morsch machines?
No, unfortuantely the hardware emulation of these modules in MAME is not yet working.

Re: MessChess

I think they might, but I have not tinkered with it (Banksia) yet to see. Anyway, I downloaded them from here: https://c.gmx.net/@317206859884790529/9U7_drDsTfqpD6IUpWRCXg It's not a good idea to post this 'direct' link - it may change from time to time. The official place for CB-Emu is my website:...

Are you angry because your win98 notebook cannot handle files that big?
