Re: WChess 1.06

When pushing the button to download I gate a page about food...:-( yes, yes, I am the old man that cannot get nothing working.... Fern Well, you should complain at ZippyShare - maybe they don't like your country!? ;) Here's an other link - I hope this one will work for you: https://www.solidfiles.c...

Re: WChess 1.06

I seem to get it to run as an winboard engine, but it does not run properly. The program responds instantly after every move. It does not seem to matter with or without cdrom in the drive. I will try a little more. Well, this engine requires to get a special code via KITTINX from the GUI (similar t...

Re: MateFinder 9

I tested MateFinder 9 Ipman compile and it's better than 2017 versions. Here's mate in 15 from Chest database [D]K4b2/B3p1p1/p2pP1p1/P1pN2N1/1pPk1P2/1p6/1P6/5B2 w - - bm #15; 00:00 @ C2/R0/K3/P1/X2; I guess you have a quite old version of the ChestUCI database, because this position has been correc...

Re: Rebel 10

Anyone able to get the MSDOS oldies working? The zip file seems to be missing the Chess.bat file that provides the menu. http://rebel13.nl/download/more_oldies.html The file Chess.bat is not in the zip file, it's included in the virtual machine (i.e. after you've started the VM with DOS.bat)! Well, I care! :P

And I assume that the first one should be 32 bit, but maybe he simply forgot to enter the correct compiler options.

Re: Fruit reloaded v 3.2.1 released

Binary download (Windows only!): https://github.com/Akusari/Fruit-reloaded-official/releases/tag/v3.2.1_binary Thanks for this new version, Daniel! One question: There's a Fruit_reloaded_v321.exe and a Fruit_reloaded_v321_x64.exe, but both are 64 bit - what's the difference between them? Regards, F...

No chance - since Jan. 2017 ChessBase has changed the compiler, and so all updates require at least Windows 7 (they don't even run on Vista).

The last updates which still run under WinXP are from 5. Dec. 2016.

Re: Matefinder Compiles

I guess these are the debug versions instead of the release version Nope. Well, an EXE analyzer (PEStudio) has a different opinion (and me too) ... 3.3MB instead of 1.4MB (previous versions)?
I guess these are the debug versions instead of the release versions - not a good idea ...

Re: Definitely not Mate in 14

Definitely a mate in 13. Chest output is pretty well a proof that there is not shorter solution. No Dann, if you use SearchMode=AutoTurbo, then it's NOT a proof! I know that you're using ChestUCI since a long time, so I wonder why you still don't understand how it works. In AutoTurbo mode a found m...
