Re: FAT fritz is not needed

You can also use it (Fat Fritz) in another GUI if Chessbase is not your thing. No, I cannot :) At least not on a GPU because I don't have CUDA and OpenCL doesn't work, and I already have weights optimized for CPU, so I didn't bother. In their defense, I'm the only person around that I know that has...

Fat Fritz recalibrate

I fear that I stopped the calibration of Fat Fritz prematurely. Can someone tell me how to go through the calibration step again?

Re: Sting SF 17

BTW. "<>" It is not my bug! Well, I would say it is indeed your bug! ;) The problem is, that ChessBase creates a file *.eng with the name of the engine, and the characters <> are not allowed in filenames, because they are used for input/output redirection in the OS. So it's not a good idea to use t...

Re: Sting SF 17

A wonderful news! "The" Chessbase ignores Sting 17! I recommend to start Sting directly in "Windows Command Line" I will prepare the guide and it is very easy to start Sting there. :D :D :D Earlier it was: Sting X based on Stockfish 2.1.1 by Y. It seems to be wrong. Y is not an author of Stockfish ...

Re: Sting SF 17

I tried installing this in Chessbase 14, and it appears that the name is incompatible with Chessbase - in other words, it does not install (or if it does, one cannot find it in the list of available engines). Perhaps it is the <> in the name.

Re: Sting Sf 11.8

Could someone post an example position where Sting 11.5 performs better than Sting 11.8?

Re: MateFinder 10

Very strange - I cannot get Chessbase 14 or Fritz 16 to recognize the engine once installed. For those who know the interface, it will show up when I go to the engine management screen, but when I try to add it as a kibitzer, the engine is not an available choice - it does not appear in that list. A...

Re: Sting-sf-48 release

Maybe it's me, but I cannot see the PV in either Chessbase 12 or Aquarium 2014 when starting an infinite analysis.
