Re: Fat Fritz 2 64-bit 8CPU v Stockfish 2021-02-11 64-bit 8CPU (LTC)

Oh okay. Contempt = 0 would be better against SF dev. I guess Chessbase decided to change it 24 to beat up on weaker opponents :D My understanding is that contempt has no effect on it with NNUE enabled. I merely switched back because I got asked a lot about it, and figured this would just quiet tha...

Re: CCRL broken down by ECO code

Looking at CCRL results, it seemed to me that their balance of openings by eco codes was a bit peculiar. I pulled down the games for sf12 1 CPU and ran them through ordo. Two thing that struck me were the over abundance of ECO A games (800) where SF12 really over performed, and how SF12 really unde...

Re: +100 elo breakthrough in new rewritten Lco engine ( Ceres)

How does that compare with Lc0 v26? I did a quick bench on my 3080 of CERES and LC0-26.3-cuda. Default settings for CERES, defaults and NNcache=10M, smart-pruning-factor=0 for Lc0. The measured "speedup" (if we can say so, we are comparing nps from two different engines): 30x384 = 15%, 20x256 = 28%...

Re: SPCC: Longtime-testrun of Stockfish vs Lc0 66680 finished

Really nice. Thanks for your work ! My pleasure. The result is the best of all longtime testruns so far: Lc0 -50 Elo behind latest SF-Dev. In a TCEC Superfinal with really long thinkingtime and extremly fast hardware, the result could be (and I expect that) much closer. But I have no doubt, that St...

Re: CCC has serious hardware update!

Actually, the CPU difference is smaller, since the GPU server uses its own CPU cores, which are: CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8163 CPU @ 2.50GHz, 32 vcores So they are : 2.5/2.6 * 100 = 96% of the speed or about 4% slower than the AMD cores. I don't think you can compute their relative performanc...

That was the default 10bx128 "703810" Try a larger net and see if you still enjoy speed improvements. On 66512 30bx384 I am getting between 12K and 17k in the...
