Re: Banksia GUI and randomized book openings for Leela

My Banksia (0.10 alpha) does not have seed capability under preference. I run on Apple MacOS Catalina. If an upgrade is required please advise (send doc). Also, I do not see any place for gmbook nor where to get it nor what it is. Thanks for answering these questions. I've been playing the same move...

Banksia GUI and randomized book openings for Leela

I don't see the method.

Registered over at their BB but it (phpBB I believe) never sent the email to the address of record here.

So, if the author of banksiagui.com's apps can address that and comment on setting randomized book openings for Leela, it would be appreciated!

romantic-style play

I am always looking for ideas to make my chess program more "romantic" by making speculative sacrifices which lead into huge variations to confuse HUMAN (not computer) opponents, with the only player of the program being me, your 'umble programmer. If anyone has suggestions on how to do SPECULATIVE ...

Re: Simplifying code

Exactly why I converted my program to 64-bit bitmaps for both move generation and position evaluation years ago.

It has made the entirety simple.

I love engineering simplicity!!!

Re: Leela and the "IQ" Test

Sorry. I don't use Arena, Xboard, nor Winboard.

I don't like their interfaces.

I like Banksiagui.

Leela and the "IQ" Test

Anyone know what would be necessary to administer the test to Leela/LC0?

I think that would be an interesting result...

piece sac at move 8 by Leela

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-vNq61KfLs&feature=youtu.be Hi, I bumped into this game of Leela's last night analyzed by IM Rensch. I thought I'd give the position after: 1. e2e4 e7e5 2. g1f3 b8c6 3. f1b5 f8c5 4. c2c4 c5b6 5. d2d4 e5d4 6. c3d4 c6e7 7. e1g1 c7c6 to Leela v0.23.0 with network file w...

Re: front-ending

Hey, didn't mean to be controversial.

Just wanted to play Talish on a screen rather than on a physical board.

front-ending

Hi. I want to put a quick front-end on Talish but don't want to conform to "complex front-end-languages". All I want is a front-end system which handles new go time <milliseconds per move> e2e4 e7e5 g1f3 : e1g1 quit and that's it. Is there anything which fits the bill? The platform is Apple Catalina...

Re: AlphaZero

Skip it.

Stand up lczero.org and enjoy.

No need to reinvent the wheel.

Leela later will be more Tal-like once they fix it.
