Re: Is Allie a 'Leela net player'?

Moving the conversation back into this thread: The discord handle of the NVIDIA developer who has contributed CUDA code to both Allie and LC0 is ankan. I assume that’s what you are referring to as “leela backend?” To top it all off, the code isn’t even chess specific. So should the CUDA backend be ...

Re: Is Allie a 'Leela net player'?

Then why have uniqueness rules in the first place? Why doesn't TCEC do what CCCC does and say, 'here are the engines that are playing this season and we as the organisers have the right to choose which engines get to participate in the tournament and which engines do not, to ensure maximum fun in t...

Re: Is Allie a 'Leela net player'?

So what I guess what I'm saying is, including Allie is more fun than having two engines compete for two SuFi spots? And I'm not sure there's any other question to ask. Re: Is Allie a 'Leela net player'?

Good luck writing specific uniqueness rules to handle every case. Especially the ones you haven't dreamed of yet. You'd wind up rewriting the rules every season, to fit whatever engines you wanted to include anyway. So what I guess what I'm saying is, including Allie is more fun than having two engi...

Re: Request- Questions For GM Kramnik and DeepMind

"Friday, September 18 at noon Pacific time" is when the discussion happens. So... somewhat before then? There's no real deadline, but at some point they'll be prepping for it and not chatting with me.

Request- Questions For GM Kramnik and DeepMind

Hi everyone, chess.com is having a "roundtable discussion" with GM Kramnik and some DeepMind people... we're taking suggestions for questions people would like to be asked. If you ask them here, I'll pass them up the line for (potential) selection. Thanks! https://www.chess.com/news/view/new-alphaze...

Re: Chess variants made with help from alpha zero article

Man. "AI ruined chess" seems harsh. I wish DeepMind would just leave chess alone and go bother someone else.

Re: Asking to people who believe Leela NN is a book, what they think about SF NN now?
By this definition, are not the evaluation constants within an ordinary hand-tuned evalution also and opening book?
(I'm assuming you're talking about the is-of-predication definition?) I guess I'm confused why this should be? Hand-tuned evaluations return centipawn values, not mov...
