KDE wallpaper in Linux

Was trying some flavors of Desktop Environment in Linux OS and checked what KDE has to offer. Was curious when I stumbled upon a wallpaper named 'Chess'.

Graphics of the wallpaper was amazing, offering different versions of the
same wallpaper for 1280x1024 , 1600x1200 , 1920x1200 screen settings.

Unfortunately, the position is illegal because the other side had just promoted his pawn, while his K is on check. Either that, or the starting board was setup incorrectly with h1 being black instead of a white square.





edit: start position was setup correctly with h1 square as white, it seems. So the move e8(Q)+ of white is illegal since his own Ka4 is on check.

I think the latter is the more likely. It's, unfortunately, not uncommon for movies, etc., to not have followed the light-on-the-right rule of board orientation.

Not sure if this file can be uncompressed inside Windows to make use of those images, I tried but failed. Only uncompressed this successfully inside Linux OS (Ubuntu/Mint).

I think the latter is the more likely.

That's what I felt too, the e8(Q)+ is actually a5 pawn of white.
That unmoved Bc8 beside blacks King of black looks like a pawn at first glance.
