Thanks for the new engine. How do I make a file that will store the learning? I have a BIN file in there but nothing is happening.

Fruit reloaded v 3.2.1 macOS link

Post by MikeB »

Daniel Mehrmann wrote:Hello!

Well, finaly it's done! :D

Today i'm a bit proud to release the latest version of Fruit reloaded for you guys. It's identical to the version which playing the TCEC season 10 right now.

Well, what happen since version 2.1, released three years ago ?

Fruit is still a array-board engine and will be this forever of course.
But with some help of Ryan Fruit is using now pawn bitboards for some evaluations.

Fruit is using now 64Bit staff und supports up to 16GB ram.

The focus on this version is the end-user! So you have a powerfull sets of UCI options to play around. Fruit is the first engine which can learn not only positions, it learns the PV and plan behind it.

Well, how strong is it ? Good question of course ;-)
It should be the strongest Fruit ever based on the big Fruit familiy.

Is it ready yet ? Of course it's not and some parts of the evalution are just crappy and needs a revisite (e.g pawn eval).

I'm still searching people who wants to work on Fruit with me. I created a new project page on GitHub with sources:

https://github.com/Akusari/Fruit-reloaded-official/

Binary download (Windows only!): https://github.com/Akusari/Fruit-reload ... 2.1_binary

Wanted: People who build Linux/MacOS binaries from source! (Please mail me or send me packages)

Regards
Daniel
Awesome - thank you Daniel!

Fruit reloaded v3.2.1: Binary package updated (Version 2)

Post by Daniel Mehrmann »

Hello !

I just updated the download packet for Fruit versdion v3.2.1:

"Updated Fruit reloaded v3.2.1 binary package (Version 2). It includes now a MacOSX version and Nalimov egtb libraries for Windows. I just forgot to add it. The Windows 32Bit version is now a real 32Bit version."

@Michael Thanks for the MacOSX build!

Link (unchanged): https://github.com/Akusari/Fruit-reload ... 2.1_binary

Regards
Daniel

PS: If i have a Linux system ready in the next days, i can add a Linux build as well, if nobody else can do it.

Thanks Daniel, this is great.

Created a couple of personalities from the UCI options.

Some nice playing styles resulting from it.

A weak opponent (deliberate), but a fascinating playing style!

I was aiming for a Kramnik-like style and seem to have gotten close enough.

I could not access https://github.com/Akusari/Fruit-reloaded-official/. Is it a private repository?
I can only access https://github.com/Akusari/Fruit-reloaded-public, which has only version 2.1.
