Hi Thorsten,
sure that I have it on older backup CDs.
Chrilly sent it to me by slow post at this time.
If I remember with a big manual for blind chess players.
Possible that I have the version before 1.x from Chrilly too.
I will looking tomorrow in the evening, so many older backup CDs. Hope I find it.
Best
Frank

On my pentium MMX 133 MHz nimzo 221 makes arround 22.000 NPS in dos prompt mode.
So the mobile phone emulator is as fast as this old pc for nimzo.
Anybody a version of nimzo before 221 Guernica ?
What about version 2 or even 1 ?
Does anybody have in mind which version it was with the Kmoch knowledge ??
As far as I remember the next version was preprocesser with CHE knowledge.
Chrilly donninger on the track of Fritz.

I have and play against Nimzo 3 & Nimzo 3.5 Jakarta , both have the Che files as evaluation. They are a blast to play against and are highly configurable. Very strong for dos.

Nimzo 1.53 / 1.54 I have after my list for older engines. But I can't found the CDRom. I have here more as thousand CDRoms with older chess software. Possible it's on a very old backup I can't start. I will give the CDRom to a friend, maybe he can repair it (a specialist for such things).

Re: Anybody a working copy of nimzo Guernica 2.2.1
I tried to run the program inside a DOS box of a Win32 system which supports 16-bit executables, the CLI of DOS just showed something like this
Code: Select all
c:\Nimzo221>GNIMZO.EXE
c:\Nimzo221>
Maybe I am doing something wrong. What are the tricks to make this run in Win32 CLI.
regards,
Mike
