I'm sure there are the CPUs with default settings.

Arctic Announces the Freezer 33 TR: An Air Cooler Designed for AMD’s Threadripper

"Arctic has announced a special version of its popular Freezer 33-series cooler, this time designed specifically for AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper microprocessor. The cooler is not only physically compatible with the Socket TR4 mounting mechanism, but the base has been extended to cover Threadripper’s integrated heatspreader (IHS) in order to improve cooling efficiency."

So in the link 1950X @ 4ghz got 43214379, while 7900k @ 4ghz got 36797698. A 7900k should really be able to go to 4.4 or 4.5. Once that adjustment is added the Threadripper's like 5% faster than 7900k? That's less than I imagined.

Clock for clock 7960x is almost 40% better than Threadripper???

AMD's point of view is that money for money TR is a better choice...

I read that the 1950X 16 cores/ 32 threads 3.4 GHz 4.0 GHz 128 GB DDR4 RAM 180 Watts is exclusive to Dell through December. I have yet to find a place to actually buy one. I am wondering what the price will be. $2,500 perhaps depending on how much RAM you want to put in it.

It's semi exclusive. No other large manufacturer has it.

You can find it here:

There are smaller vendors who also stock it (at a lower price):
