Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Are you going to add syzygy tablebases in the future to your chess engine.

No sorry. I don't plan on adding tablebases it is a lot of extra code for little to no gain.Krzysztof Grzelak wrote:Are you going to add syzygy tablebases in the future to your chess engine.
Hmm I didn't notice that. It should be "Nirvanachess". I will fix this when I get back to my computer next week.Gabor Szots wrote:I see it calls itself Nirvanachess Chess which seems a misspelling to me, what is the correct name?

This has now been fixed. There was also a small performance improvement that I added here. The improvement was < 1% so there is no need to download beyond the naming fix.

Re: Nirvanachess 2.4 has been released
Over several months of testing I observed an odd fact: Nirvanachess 2.4 seems to be the only 3000+ engine with a marked tendency to lose on time. Whether it's blitz or 40/40, single-core or 4CPU -- up to 3% of its games end in time forfeits.
I hope Thomas considers looking into its time management for the next release.
