Game 89 Houdini makes the play, but Komodo holds equality.

Post by Graham Banks »

GAME 89

In a French Exchange Variation, Houdini looks to make the play, eventually capturing on f6 to shatter Komodo's kingsside pawn structure. Komodo then takes the opportunity tp swap off queens and go a pawn up. However, the extra pawn is soon gobbled up by Houdini and a drawn rook and pawns ending results. Komodo leads by +5 =83 -1.

Game 90 - Houdini again the aggressor, but Komodo holds.

Post by Graham Banks »

GAME 90

Houdini is again the aggressor, looking for play on the kingside. However, Komodo counters on the queenside, the queens come off and we reach another of those infamous, yet drawn rook and pawns endgame. Komodo leads by +5 =84 -1. Incredible that this match has gone this far!
