so I think it was an old Stockfish and not the super fast Stockfish 8 or a current development version, which should be much faster than only 4300 kn/s.
There is no reason to suspect that a current version of Stockfish will give a higher n/s than an older version. If more knowledge is imparted to an engine then it is conceivable that a new version could have lower n/s. I know that early forms of dedicated chess computers had this problem.
Maybe some developers from Stockfish can answer this question.
But why the new development version has much more kn/s than the 3 years old version on my home computer?
Same should happen on the ipad pro 2.
The true Battery life of the iPad Pro 2 from 100% tested with Stockfish app:
0 minutes = 100%.
After 45 minutes analysis of the opening it reached 80%.
So it should be after:
90 minutes = 60%
135 minutes = 40%
180 minutes = 20%
225 minutes = 0%
The SmallFish syzygy endgame tb doesn't work under iPad Pro 2.
Can someone confirm?
I see the installed tablebase in the SmallFish options but they aren't in use in endgames.
