many thanks to all, i had not know this puzzle was allready discuss many times ago, anyway its amazing, i will use that to solve my engine this too.

maybe its difficult because black move Nf7+ is not the best reply, the problem is that black can escape with Kg4 and there is a lot of more variants to search to see any mates.

If it is a mate in 14, then Chest (in brute force mode) is wrong, because I let it search for mate in 14 to completion and it did not find a mate.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

I tried these at three minutes each:
Andscacs
Arasanx-64-popcnt
AsmFish
ChestUCI_AutoTurbo
Fire 5 x64 popcnt
Gull 3 x64
Houdini 5 Standard
Houdini 5 Tactical
Komodo-10-64bit
MateFish
Nirvanachess 2.3 (Popcount)
Protector 1.9.0 TCEC S8.3
Rybka 4.1 SSE42 x64
Sting-sf-73
Stockfish-x64-mingw
Texel-1.06a19

The three solvers were:
Gull
Rybka
Sting
