Thanks! I believe, it is possible to win a few ELO out of better settings,
but that is very hard to test.

Real disaster for me: it does not work at all in Arena
I can install THe engine, the name appears in the dialog , I play the first move and nothing happens.
A DISASTER

Hi Fernando,
I guess, you have not enough memory for the default hashsize of 128 MB.
Instead of making a move try to enter the config dialog and resize hash.
It will take some time, while windows is swapping. You should also close all
other applications before starting arena, if this is the reason.
Btw: It seems, K. Grzelak wants to generate some confusion by reactivating a thread from 2014 with a "New" in the title.

I'm sorry that I ask about what you are writing confusion, because I do not really know what's going on.

Hi and thanks for the reply. My comp has 3 gigas RAM so I doubt it is what you say, but still I will give it a try.
Maybe those 3 gigs are not enough anyway...

Ok, should be more than enough. Next guess, if you install it as winboard-engine, it doesn't make a move. Did you try console mode, to get a sign of live (typing "uci" etc.) ?
