Yeah, but who would feel any satisfaction from beating an engine he knows is working on 1/1000th of its full power? I know that I would not be interested in that...

Hi
Could someone help making an engine playing musketeer chess variant under zillions of games?

How can we configure automatic play of the engine under Zillions?

Concerning the Fortress and the fact that it's moves are not linear a change will occur with "2 different versions"; one called Fortress and the second called Spider.

I'll soon update my homepage.

The two pieces are in engineering process concerning moulds. Should be available late december.

Best regards
Zied

As your request seems to be slowly fading into anonimity, let me bump it.

I don't believe, however, that there are any people here that even have Zillions. (I don't). You might have more luck on chessvariants.org; Zillions is still a pretty popular tool there.

Hi
Thanks for your advise.

Chessvariants.org seems to be also fading and no longer active.

I tried several times ago to subscribe in this site but i did not get any answer.

By the way there is interesting data in this site concerning chess variants.

Well, many people still post message there, although not nearly as many as here. But any forum has manymore readers than posters. I know the administrator of chessvariants.org sometimes is very tardy in confirming new registrations. This seems to have always been the case; I experienced that years ago.

You can also post there as unregistered user, however; the moderators usually will approve such a posting within the promised 24 hours.

And as to popularizing your variant, it would definitely help to create an page for Musketeer Chess there. It is the place where all Chess-variant afficionados look. I am not sure whether a normal registered account also allows you to post user-generated descriptions, or whether you have to be a more-privileged 'editor' for that. If this would be a problem: I can create such pages there (still subject to an approval period), and in the past have done so for example for my own designs Team-Mate Chess and Werewolf Chess, as well as some of the large Shogi variants. You would just have to e-mail me the text that should go into the various sections of their template page, and I can then submit it using my own account.

My friend
I appreciate what u said.

I'll certainly PM you a page to publish in chessvariants.org because all my trials to subscribe or even publish something as an unregistered used always failed.

They probably hate the french !? LOL

I'd like to finance an engine developer to program an engine playing musketeer chess.

Finance will be proportional to the classic rating of the engine.

Hi
Still looking for serious programmers for an engine playing the variant.

Please PM me at musketeerchess @ gmail .com

My variant was finally submitted at www.chessvariants.org

http://www.chessvariants.org/index/msdi ... eteerchess

The following pieces are available at the house of staunton:

Leopard and Cannon
http://www.houseofstaunton.com/catalog/ ... -4-pieces/

Archbishop and Chancellor
http://www.houseofstaunton.com/catalog/ ... -4-pieces/

Elephant and Hawk
http://www.houseofstaunton.com/catalog/ ... -4-pieces/

In 2016, 3 other kits will be available:

Unicorn and Dragon

Fortress and Spider

And the latest: Corporeal (replacing all or part of the pawns on the board).

Corporeal will be a new design for a "super pawn".

In case if you did not noticed, I released a winboard engine to play the game with Leopard and Cannon as new pieces. The new pieces can be dropped anywhere, specific drop square can only be possible when playing human vs human. But not for engine vs human because the engine will drop at any squares it considers best, but this can be solved by giving it a position with limited virgin squares.
