I also may not be able to present at tournament start but can have Arasan logged in.

What does "rpi" mean?flok wrote:Feel free to join any of the rpi* engines if you like. To participate in the tourney you would need a registered account, though, as the tournament-manager bot won't join you to the tourney if it cannot find your rating (which guests do not have).
If you PM me an e-mail address and account name, I can create an account for you.
I would like to at least let PuppetMaster participate if possible.
This PuppetMaster is the same as in Leiden only running on an i7 instead. And slightly tweaked. And with 4 opening books.

Ahhh, thanks. I guess that's fun
I will start with Fruit reloaded the first time.
How to join the tourney ? Is it like ICC, a bot does an announcment and you only need to "tell xxx join" ?
Regards
Daniel

Why disappointing?flok wrote:meh disappointing results
I think it is amazing what Stockfish does on such tiny hardware.
The RPI is something like 50 times slower as a high end PC.
It is a miracle that it still scores about 50% in this tourney.

Thanks as always, HG! Pretty decent performance for Myrddin, although it was using 4 cores.hgm wrote:Code: Select all

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney July
The rpi did fine but puppetmaster not so much. Well it didn't play bad but for the hardware (6-core i7 with 20GB ram) I expected better results.Joost Buijs wrote:Why disappointing?flok wrote:meh disappointing results

My information must be wrong, I thought puppetmaster consists of 7 RPI with 7 different engines on it.flok wrote:The rpi did fine but puppetmaster not so much. Do you mean that you now use a core i7 with 6 cores and 6 different engines on it using a single core each?
Edit: Ah, now I see that you already mentioned the core i7 earlier in this thread.
It is a nice experiment, but I don't expect that it will play stronger than the average strength of the engines involved in the voting process.
